Both packages include two alternating pumps, a smart controller, alarm, and pre-piping. The difference is capacity, pump construction, and effluent rating.

Both handle standard basement sump and dewatering use equally well. Higher GPM (MPPIII) means more water moved per minute, not necessarily "better" for every basement — pick based on your pit's actual water volume.
