Obtaining Return Authorization

Requests for the return of any item must be expressly authorized by altapower.com within 30 days of the original delivery receipt date. All authorized returns must be assigned a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA#). The RMA# will be assigned by altapower.com only and cannot be obtained or provided by any other source. Any item returned without an approved RMA# will be refused by our warehouse and automatically returned to the recipient.

* Restocking fees of up to 33% apply for the return of all Sumpro, Stormpro, ION Stormpro, Ion Technologies, Duracell, Earthquake, Little Beaver, Empire Heater, Mr. Heater, Enerco Heater, Propane, HVAC, Fertilizer, Marshall Excelsior, Cavagna, Apollo-Conbraco, or Earth Auger products.

Restocking fees may not apply to all other purchases. Special orders and items arranged for pickup at a warehouse may also incur a restocking fee of up to 33%. Returns and shipment refusals are subject to a 25% restocking fee.

Returns requested due to customer ordering errors, incorrect part selection, assumed compatibility, SKU variation, configuration mismatch, or parts ordered in error are considered customer-responsibility returns and may be subject to return shipping charges, outbound shipping deductions, and applicable restocking fees of up to 33%.

altapower.com is not responsible for customer selection errors when the product shipped matches the manufacturer part number and description ordered at the time of purchase

Return Instructions

To return your purchase, you must obtain an RMA# before returning the item. Returns without proper RMA approval will be rejected. To obtain an RMA#, please submit your request by clicking the button below.

  • Return Packaging Requirements: Authorized product returns must be in 'new' or 'like new' condition and returned in the original manufacturer packaging. Special order products or items not included in our catalog may not be eligible for return and may incur a restocking fee.
  • Refunds (excludes shipping): Upon receipt, all items will be inspected for defects and product identifiers. Credit will be issued for the original product price, excluding shipping charges.
  • Excluded from Refunds: All freight charges for returns or exchanges are the responsibility of the customer, including shipping charges for defective, damaged, or mis-shipped items. Orders received as part of our Free Shipping promotion will have the outbound shipping charges deducted from the final refund. Please insure all packages being returned for credit.
  • Exchanges: Exchanges may be requested at the time of the RMA request. Shipping charges will apply for all exchange transactions.
  • *SKU's: Returns due to SKU variation are the responsibility of the customer.
